Simple prayer together as a family
Begin with a short, honest moment of gratitude and prayer for one another.
Keep the beginning simple
Family prayer can begin with a few minutes of gratitude, sharing a need, and praying for one another. You do not need a long programme or elaborate words. Make room to attend to God together.
Give each person space
Invite each family member to share something they are thankful for or a need they would like prayer for. Take turns praying a short sentence. Respect someone who would rather listen; patience and kindness make room for participation.
Connect prayer with care
As you pray for someone, consider a practical step of care. A phone call, help with a task, or time spent listening can express your concern in everyday life.
Choose a short regular time
This week, try a brief time before a meal or at the end of the day. Share one thank-you and one request, then pray together. If you miss a day, begin again gently and make room for shared attention to God.
